This notice covers the early-access waitlist on basequel.com only. Basequel is a product of Sequel AI.
Who we are
Basequel is a trading name of Sequel AI Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under registered number 16897137, with registered address at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). Sequel AI Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist we receive:
- Your email address (required).
- Anything optional you choose to add: your name, company, number of projects, where your backend runs today and your use case.
- How you found us: the page you signed up from, any
utm_source,utm_mediumandutm_campaignvalues in the link you followed, and the referring website, if your browser shares it. - A one-way hash of your IP address (a code that can’t be turned back into the address), used only to stop automated spam sign-ups.
Why, and on what basis
On the basis of your consent, given by submitting the form: to contact you about early access to Basequel, to understand what you’d like to use it for so we can onboard you well, and to learn which channels bring people to us. We don’t sell your data and we don’t use it for advertising.
What this site doesn’t do
No analytics, no trackers, no third-party scripts and no cookies. Your colour theme preference is kept in your browser’s local storage and never sent to us. The campaign values above are held in your browser’s session storage until you close the tab, and only sent if you join the waitlist.
Where it’s kept
The form sends your details directly to Basequel’s own application at app.basequel.com, on our server in Germany (Hetzner, Nuremberg). Encrypted backups of that server are kept with Cloudflare R2. This website is served by Vercel, which keeps standard request logs. These providers process data only on our instructions.
How long
Until early access no longer needs it, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. Backups roll off within a further 30 days.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete your waitlist data at any time, object to how we use it, and withdraw your consent. We respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
